Our Mission Statement
Clay
Homeschoolers, located in Clay County, Florida, is a group founded on
Christian principles believing the Bible to be the only inspired word
of God.
Our
purpose is to provide support, compassion, love, encouragement and family
unity to all members.
Our
mission is to teach our children in a loving, Christian atmosphere, separate
from the world, creating a hunger and thirst for God and His Word.
(John 17:16-18 Romans 12:2)
As a
non-denominational group, we ask that all members respect denominational
differences. All of our functions incorporate prayer and support our
Christian beliefs. |
Standard of Behavior
- We follow all the rules of the facilities we visit
(homes, churches, public buildings, field trips). We do not run,
jump or climb where inappropriate (this is decided by the subgroup leader
or field trip coordinator). We will leave the facility in better
shape than we found it, when possible. We will clean up our mess.
- We respect the property of others. We
do not destroy or touch anything that does not belong to us.
- We remember we are to be examples and that we share
Christ with others by how we behave.
- We speak quietly and respectfully to one another.
We do not interrupt while someone is speaking.
We encourage all parents to act as chaperones to the
group as a whole. |

Organization:
The
large group, which is unlimited in number, is broken down in smaller
sub-groups of 15-20 families (this is so newcomers are able to more easily
meet and get to know other home schoolers). Sub-groups vary in purpose from
ones with specific ideas about what activities they will be offering during
the year to ones that are more ‘low profile’. A list of the sub-groups with
descriptions will be sent to you with your application.
Meetings:
The
large group will meet in August, have quarterly parent nights and park days,
as well as other activities offered.
Dues:
$20.00 per family per year to cover copying, postage, facility, and other
group expenses. HERI and
FPEA memberships are also available to you
at an additional fee.
Goals:
-
To
provide mutual support, encouragement, fellowship, for home schooling
families.
-
Positive
fellowship for our home schooled children.
-
Exchange
of ideas, resources, and information important to home schooling.
-
Organized activities such as field trips, co-ops, classes, and parties, etc.
